At Aiwin, we believe that your participation and involvement as parents in your children’s early learning experience is tremendously important for them to develop lifelong learning skills and dispositions. Children usually look up to their parents and feel much more confident and motivated when Mommy and Daddy are showing interest in what they are doing at school.
We also encourage parents to stay up-to-date with their children’s progress by reading the weekly reports and communicating openly with the teachers and school staff. Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Mommies – Come for morning coffee with the principal – Once a month.
Let’s catch up over a cup of coffee. Nothing serious, it’s just a good opportunity for all of us parents and educators to get together and have a casual chat.
- Daddies – Come for “Story time with the principal” – Once a semester.
Join the children in the library where the principal reads a picture book and watch their reactions as they listen to the story. Feel free to help your child to respond to questions and encourage him or her to participate in discussions.
- Mommies and daddies – Come for our teacher-parents conferences – Three times a year.
Talk to the teacher about your child’s performance and progress and discuss any concerns, achievements and areas of weakness or strengths. Learn more about what you can do at home to reinforce their formal learning.
- Mommies and daddies – Come for Open day- Twice a year.
Come around and watch your child in action. Give him or her the opportunity to show off her newly learned skills. Give them a good pat on the back and congratulate them on a job well done.
We look forward to seeing you at our school.
Note: Please bear in mind that the timetable below may change to accommodate the needs of the majority of the parents.
