今年のウィンターコンサートは、**AWIS創立10周年を祝う特別なテーマ「Once Upon a Decade AWIS」**のもと、4キャンパス合同でシアターにて開催いたしました。
これまでのAWISの歩みを振り返りながら、子どもたち一人ひとりが主役となり、物語を紡ぐような舞台となりました。

この日のステージに向けて、子どもたちは立ち位置や踊るタイミング、鈴やピアニカの演奏など、一つひとつを大切にしながら日々練習を重ねてきました。
「10周年」という特別な節目を感じながら、仲間と力を合わせ、より良い表現を目指して取り組む姿が印象的でした。

子どもたち一人ひとりが自信と笑顔にあふれ、心も体も大きく成長した一日となりました。

迎えた本番では、緊張しながらも懸命に表現する姿や、仲間と心を一つにしてやり遂げようとする姿が随所に見られ、会場は大きな感動に包まれました。

このウィンターコンサートという特別な経験を通して、子どもたちはまた一歩、大きく、そしてたくましく成長してくれたことを、私たちは強く感じています。 その一生懸命な姿に、保護者の皆さま、そして私たちスタッフも何度も胸が熱くなり、思わず涙する場面がありました。

This year, students from all four AWIS campuses came together for a special Winter Concert, held under the theme “Once Upon a Decade AWIS,” celebrating the 10th anniversary of Aiwin International School.

Reflecting on AWIS’s journey over the past decade, the concert became a stage where each child took on a leading role, bringing the story of our school to life through music, movement, and expression.

In preparation for the performance, the children practiced diligently each day—carefully learning their positions, timing their movements, and rehearsing with bells and melodicas. With the significance of the 10th anniversary in mind, they worked closely with their peers, supporting one another and striving to present their best on stage.

On the day of the concert, although many children felt nervous, they expressed themselves wholeheartedly and performed with focus and determination. Their efforts, teamwork, and courage filled the theater with emotion and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Through this special Winter Concert experience, we strongly felt that our students have taken another step forward in their growth—becoming more confident, resilient, and expressive. Their sincere dedication deeply touched not only our staff, but also the families watching from the audience, moving many to tears.

ウィンタースクール期間中、園児たちは普段のクラスとは異なり、年齢の異なる子どもたちが一緒に過ごすクラスで、学びや遊びを通して交流を深めました。 クリスマスにちなんだクラフト制作やサンタクロースについて学ぶ活動を通して、教室は笑顔と笑い声にあふれ、あたたかなホリデーの雰囲気に包まれていました。

夙川校では、ウィンタースクールの特別企画として「Merry Pancake Christmas Ho Ho Hoーパンケーキイベント」を開催しました。 AWISにご興味をお持ちのご家庭にもご参加いただき、園児たちと一緒にパンケーキをデコレーションしたり、親子でオリジナルのパンケーキを味わったり、クリスマス仕様の撮影スポットで写真撮影を楽しんだりと、笑顔とワクワクがあふれるひとときとなりました。

During Winter School, students enjoyed a special experience beyond their usual routines, coming together in mixed-age groups to learn, play, and connect with one another. Through Christmas-themed activities such as seasonal crafts and learning about Santa Claus, the classrooms were filled with laughter, curiosity, and the warm spirit of the holiday season.

At our Shukugawa Campus, a special Pancake Event was held during the Winter School program. Families interested in AWIS were also invited to join, creating a welcoming opportunity to experience our school community firsthand. Children and parents enjoyed decorating pancakes together, sharing their unique creations, and taking photos at a Christmas-themed photo spot. The event was filled with smiles, excitement, and memorable moments for everyone involved.

AWISでは、各 Unit of Inquiry に沿ってフィールドトリップを計画し、教室で学んだことが実社会とどのようにつながっているのかを、子どもたちが実際に体験できる機会を大切にしています。 こうした体験型の学びは、概念をより身近なものにし、子どもたちの理解を深めるとともに、心に残る学習体験となります。

1月から3月にかけての年度最後のタームでは、探究学習の集大成としてフィールドトリップを実施します。 Preschool（年少）は年1回、Junior Kindy（年中）・Kindy（年長）は年2回参加し、年齢に応じた形で、観察し、問いを持ち、身の回りの環境を探究していきます。

フィールドトリップを通して、子どもたちは実際の仕組みを観察し、自分の考えと結びつけながら振り返ることで、創造力・論理的思考力・問題解決力を育んでいきます。 教室の外での学びは、好奇心や批判的思考を促し、自ら問いを立てる自信へとつながります。

この学期の訪問先は 大阪市下水道科学館 です。 家庭で使われる水がどのように届き、使用後の水がどこへ行くのか、そしてそれらの仕組みが私たちの日常生活をどのように支えているのかを、実際に見て学びます。 こうした体験を通して、子どもたちは水の大切さを理解するとともに、持続可能性や環境への責任、そして自分たちにできることについて考え始めます。

At AWIS, field trips are carefully designed to align with each Unit of Inquiry, allowing children to experience how their classroom learning connects to the real world. These hands-on experiences help bring concepts to life, deepening understanding in ways that are meaningful and memorable for young learners.

From January to March, the final term of the school year, students engage in field trips as a culmination of their inquiry-based learning. Preschool students participate once a year, while Junior Kindy and Kindy students take part twice a year, providing age-appropriate opportunities to observe, question, and explore their surroundings.

Through field trips, children develop creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills as they observe real-life systems, make connections, and reflect on their experiences. Seeing how things work beyond the classroom encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and the confidence to ask meaningful questions.

This semester ’s destination is the Osaka Municipal Sewerage Science Museum, where students will explore how water reaches our homes, where used water goes, and how these systems support our daily lives. By observing these processes firsthand, children are able to connect abstract ideas to concrete experiences. Through this field trip, students not only learn about the importance of water, but also begin to think about sustainability, environmental responsibility, and what actions they can take to care for the world around them.

AWISでは、教育の質を高め続けるために、教員の学びと成長を大切にしています。 Professional Development Day（PDD） は、年に3回実施している教員研修日で、今回は今年度2回目のPDDとなりました。

当日は、全キャンパスの教職員が一堂に会し、一日を通して学び・協働・振り返りを行いました。 高品質な授業づくりをテーマに、カリキュラムへの理解を深めながら、日々の指導をより良くするための実践的な学びを共有しました。また、グループディスカッションやワークショップ、共同での計画づくりを通して、教室での取り組みを振り返り、探究的な学びをさらに充実させるためのアイデアを出し合いました。 こうした時間は、キャンパスを越えて学び合い、AWISとしての教育の質や方向性をそろえる大切な機会となっています。

AWISでは、教員一人ひとりの成長が、子どもたちの学びの質につながると考えています。 これからも教職員が学び続けることで、より良いカリキュラムと学習環境を提供し、子どもたちの可能性を最大限に伸ばしてまいります。

At AWIS, we place great importance on continuous teacher growth as a foundation for high-quality education. Professional Development Days (PDD) are held three times a year, bringing our faculty together for focused learning and reflection. This term marked our second PDD of the school year.

During this full-day session, teachers from all campuses came together to engage in professional learning, collaboration, and thoughtful reflection. The day focused on strengthening high-quality teaching practices, deepening curriculum understanding, and sharing effective strategies to support student learning.

Through discussions, workshops, and collaborative planning, teachers reflected on classroom practices, aligned their approaches, and explored ways to further enhance inquiry-based learning. These shared learning experiences allow our educators to grow together as a team while ensuring consistency and quality across all AWIS campuses.

At AWIS, we believe that investing in our teachers directly benefits our students. By continually refining our teaching practices and curriculum, we strive to provide the best possible learning experiences for every child—supporting their curiosity, confidence, and long-term growth.
